The Plough is very much a village pub, a pub that does food, not a restaurant with a bar.
Home to the longest lunches in Rutland, with baguettes of up to 2 feet available, as well as a wide range of seasonal, some home grown, produce running from local game and fish, through to some of the finest cheeses that Britain has to offer.
Rutland sub-branch of CAMRA voted us their very first pub of the season (Winter 2008/9) and we are cask Marque accredited. We always offer four different cask ales, most from local craft and small family brewers, as well as traditional scrumpy cider.
All are welcome, including dogs & children.
Food is served 7 days a week, from 12.00 to 2.30 p.m. and from 6.00 to 9.00 p.m. The bar is open all day every day in summer, but we do close for a couple of hours in the afternoons (Monday to Wednesday) during the winter.
