The county itself is ideal for walking and cycling, with trails and routes available from the Tourist Information Centre at Sykes Lane. Not only walking by the water but village and countryside routes.
Golfing is exteremely well catered for in Rutland, many of the courses enjoying the best views available in the county.
If you enjoy seeing the countryside from the saddle, then Rutland can offer you some fantastic hacking, plus horse friendly accommodation!
Rutland is host to many big sporting events, such as the Dambusters Triathlon, The Vitruvian and the International CiCLE Classic race. Not to mention the hugely popular Land Rover Burghley Horse Trails in nearby Stamford.
