Rutland places a great importance on the arts, and art enthusiasts will find a good selection of art based recreational opportunities in the county. 

In Oakham, galleries include Catmose Gallery, situated at the Vale of Catmose College, and Samuel Robson Fine Art, in the Market Place. 

In Uppingham, Goldmark Gallery and Orange Street Gallery and Marc Oxley Fine Arts are all excellent places to spend some time.

In the small village of Wing, Art de Jardin offers a range of contemporary works in different materials by local and national artists, all in a wonderful garden setting.
