Rock Climbing
Do you have a head for heights? Come rock climbing in Rutland at RockBlok, situated on the north shore of Rutland Water, at Whitwell. Suitable for all ages from 7 years upwards, RockBlok offers a safe environment to try challenging experiences.
Facilities at the centre include; an 8 meter climbing wall which is also used as an abseiling tower. A second climbing area features natural rock features. There is a High Ropes Adventure Course, 8 metres high and oval shaped, where safety is guaranteed by attachment to a pulley system. The centre also has enough trampolines that all the family can try them out, as well as a retail outlet selling outdoor and leisure clothing.
Beginners instruction is available through taster sessions lasting 15 minutes and consisting of 2 climbs. The High Ropes taster lasts 20 minutes.
RockBlok is open from 9.00 to 5.30pm between March and the end of October.
