Country Pubs

The local pub is still an important feature of Rutland village life, which means you are never far away from a great place to eat. For traditional culinary experience offering personal service, home cooked meals and real ales, a more authentic English experience will be hard to find.

Many of these are part of the Rutland Campaign for Real Ale [CAMRA] so you can be assured of a ‘proper’ pint!

The Vaults

The Vaults is Uppingham’s version of a traditional English pub, with a generous selection of cask ales, continental beers and local brews set in the cosy welcoming Grade II listed building, dating from the 17th century. Still showing its original character features, The Vaults has been updated with cosy sofas, wood-burning fires and warm colours, making it a relaxing place to meet.
