Rutland Food & Drink Week

We are pleased to announce Discover Rutland Food & Drink Week 2022 dates are 17th-23rd September!

The week will start with a bang with the popular Farmers Market on Saturday 17th in Oakham, showcasing fantastic local producers – then the Rutland Day Celebrations with Food Festival on Sunday 18th at Oakham Castle and Market Place.

Discover different eateries around the county, with the selection of promotions, special menus and events on offer.

Rutland is known as being ‘The County of Good Taste’ so come along and celebrate the excellent food and drink we have here, from our local suppliers and businesses. Visitors and residents are encouraged to eat their way around the county enjoying Rutland Food Week set menus.

Barnsdale Gardens present’s their special Gardeners’ Afternoon Tea for only £17.95 – A selection of freshly made dainty sandwiches: ham & mustard; egg & cress; cheese & pickle; beef & horseradish, with savouries: pork pie; sausage roll; cheese straws. Or our vegetarian option: egg mayo & cress; cheese & pickle; Brie & cranberry; roasted vegetable hummus, with savouries: vegetarian sausage roll; cheese straws and quiche.
Served with: Cheese scone with butter & pickle, or or plain scone with butter, jam & cream; Tea or coffee and a bottle of Grainstore beer.
Afternoon Tea is served between 3pm and 4pm and must be pre-booked at least 48 hours in advance by telephoning us on 01572 813200. Price per person.
