Country Cafe at The Lodge Trust

*Due to the site being part of The Lodge Trust, a residential care home, and staffing shortages, the café has not been able to reopen since the pandemic, but hopes to soon. The Play Area remains open.

Set in ten acres of meadowland with a fantastic children’s play area, the Country Cafe offers a warm welcome, and delicious home made cakes.

The cafe offers hot and cold beverages, sandwiches, paninis, salads, homemade soup, breakfast, daily hot lunchtime ‘specials’ and delicious homemade cakes and scones. We use local providers and Fairtrade suppliers where possible.

The wooden building, clad on the outside with Larch and on the inside with a fresh honey coloured pine, has excellent disabled access. Car parking facilities for the disabled and elderly can take up to five cars with a ramp from there to the main cafe entrance.

There is a large free carpark as you enter the site. The glass entrance allows a wonderful view of the ten acre site and beyond. The cafe is also home to a large display of quality products made on-site by our residents and service users who have learning disabilities.

We often have a good selection of plants for a sale.
