In the Stix is an established site which will be going into it’s eighth year in 2024. Set in the heart of stunning Rutland, their aim is to reconnect their guests with the great outdoors, camping but not as you previously knew it.

It is with this in mind that they have carefully designed their accommodation. Their unique domes are functional, yet with a hint of luxury. They provide all the conveniences that you don’t wish to give up without loosing the campsite classics of outdoor cooking and campfires. Each dome has it’s own private wood fired hot tub.

From the moment you arrive and put your luggage in your dome you can relax in your surroundings knowing everything has been provided for your convenience. All you have to do is enjoy spending time with your friends and loved ones in our sensational setting. Sit back on your chesterfield leather sofa with your glass of wine and the log burner going and appreciate your spectacular view for the duration of your stay.

In the Stix is about spending uninterrupted time with your family, about leaving behind the stresses of work, the phones, the tablets, the PC, it’s about getting back to nature and doing it all in our remarkable location both indoors and outdoors you can’t go wrong.

We currently have 4 geodesic domes set in a beautiful valley. Unlike other sites, we have not positioned our domes in the four far-reaching corners of the field. Our domes are position carefully to achieve privacy but not so far apart that you leave on Monday morning without having conversed with your neighbours. We aim to create a community in the countryside and would like part of your experience to be meeting new people and forming new friendships.

Each dome is individually designed and provides our guests with very versatile accommodation. Each dome can accommodate between 4 and 6 adults/children + 2 cots. Let us know your party size when booking and we can adjust according to your requirements making the space and the cost tailored to your needs.

Our domes contain your very own bathroom, gone are the campsite shower blocks and the compost toilets as each of our bathrooms has a flushing toilet and your very own shower.

You will have your own private field kitchen. This is a separate structure next to your dome and will consist of a log burning oven for cooking and a two ringed gas hob, to enable that fast morning cuppa. Your family table and chairs are here for those outdoor meals and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the pots, crocks and cooking utensils that you could wish for.

Our unique mezzanine design allows privacy for the bedroom and bathroom below whilst also providing a fun space above for up to 4 more guests to sleep. Beds can be made up to suit each individual party, as singles or king size or super king (we don’t believe in double beds!)

The event Space, built in 2022, provides an indoor/outdoor space, with a large outdoor kitchen and tables and benches to seat approximately 40 people. Large group bookings can all gather to eat and cook together here and this is available to rent for a single night or for the duration of your stay. They also offer group bookings the option to book us to come and cook for you. We offer pizza and steak nights, and everything is cooked from fresh on our wood fired pizza oven.
