Manton Cottage

Stocks Hill, Manto, Rutland, LE15 8SY, United Kingdom

Sleeps 6 in 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin. (extra single bed or travel cot available on request.)

Welcome to Manton Cottage, a beautifully restored stone cottage in the heart of the small Rutland village of Manton on the southern shore of Rutland Water. It boasts 3 good-sized bedrooms and a bright open-plan ground floor with under floor heating.

This charming cottage has been tastefully and thoughtfully refurbished and includes an open plan kitchen/diner with original range fire, lounge with wood burner and double doors leading onto patio, 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin (extra single bed or travel cot available on request) and bathroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave, electric oven, and induction hob.  The interior has been decorated to a high standard with Farrow and Ball paints, solid oak doors and stairs, under floor heating throughout the ground floor and bathroom and contemporary lighting.

Outside there is a pretty, fully enclosed garden with 2 patios, one with water feature, table and chairs, BBQ and fire pit. There is a small outbuilding and parking is on a quiet road outside the front of the cottage.

During the summer months you can throw open the double doors and enjoy the calming sounds of the water feature and enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner on one of the two patios. If you’re planning your visit when the nights draw in then you can snuggle up in front of the wood burner – there is an iPod docking station, games to play or books to read.

And don’t worry about packing the cooking essentials, as you will find everything you need waiting for you – salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, to name a few.
