About

Rutland Farm Park, in Oakham, is a place for families, adults and schools to come and enjoy a fun day out. Children of all ages will be able to meet and learn all about our range of farm animals. They can meet our  lambs, goats and sheep and play with our fluffy rabbits and guinea pigs in Amy’s Farm Corner. You will be able walk through our Poultry free range bird pen, feed the birds, and get to collect our eggs. (COMING SOON)

You will be able to groom a pony, feed the cows in the winter, play on the ride on tractors and play in our brand new play area.

Stay and enjoy our home cooked food, cakes, tray-bakes and snacks in our brand new Tea room.

The Farm park is set in 19 acres of parkland which was part of the Neol estate. the family lived in Catmose, which now houses Rutland County Council. The farm buildings are their original Victorian farm buildings. The park land is the only remaining part of the Noel estate still used in the original way.

Rutland Farm Park, has been in the Ball Family for over 5 generations. Today, we are focusing on the conservation and education of various flora and flaunt, We are trying to conserve rare breeds of sheep, cattle. pigs and poultry. We are also planning to conserve the Victorian Farm Yard and buildings.

Rutland Farm Park was a popular location back the 1980’s and 90’s, but was forced to shut in 2001 following the UK-wide foot and mouth disease outbreak and had remained closed to the public until 2017.

Directions

We are located on the edge of Oakham. Driving to us is easy and you can park for FREE in our onsite car park. You just have to follow the main road through the town centre and you will find us just down the road for the County Council office and Rutland County Museum.

Oakham Train Station is about a 15 minute walk from the farm park
