The Lodge Country Park

About

The Lodge Country Park is located in the heart of Rutland, just a few miles away from the picturesque Rutland Water and close to the market towns of Oakham and Melton Mowbray. Here we offer log cabin holiday accommodation, additional camping facilities, and also a café and shop within another purpose-built log cabin.

Log cabins

Set in beautiful surroundings are two log cabins providing high-quality short-break and holiday accommodation. Our self-catering cabins have recently been awarded a ‘strong 3 star rating’ by Visit Britain Quality in Tourism and a Level 2 Mobility rating under their National Accessibility Scheme. This means our cabins are ‘…suitable for a person with restricted walking ability and for those who may need to use a wheelchair some of the time…’

Each cabin has one double and one twin bedroom (all bedding and towels are provided) and a put-u-up bed for an extra guest. They also have a level-entry shower room, fully equipped kitchen-diner which includes a dishwasher, fridge, built-in fan oven and ceramic hob.

The living area has two comfortable settees and a television with DVD player. You could even enjoy some al fresco dining on the spacious veranda where you can take in the view or do a spot of bird watching.

Set in ten acres of parkland, you can enjoy the local beauty of the Rutland countryside. Rutland Water is only a 10-minute car journey and the market towns of Oakham, Stamford, Grantham and Melton Mowbray are all within easy reach.

For the children, there is a fantastic new play area in front of our on-site café.

Wi-Fi is available from the Café for a donation.

Campsite

We have a registered site (CS) with 5 pitches with electric hook-up and a peaceful hide-away location; it is well established and has operated for many years.

The Camping and Caravanning Club site has 2 hard-standings (Pitches 1 and 2) and 5 electrical hookups and costs £14.50 per unit night. There is also a tent pitch available (call for details).

We also have a registered Caravan and Motorhome Club (CL) site with 5 pitches equipped with electric hook-up (all hard-standings), as well as stunning views of the parkland area and our Country Café on site.

In 2008 our Caravan and Motorhome Club CL was awarded the ‘BEST NEWCOMER CL’ as voted for by club members. The cost is £15.50 per unit night.
