Public Swimming Pools;
Uppingham Sports Centre (part of Uppingham School) have a timetable for members and pay and play customers which differed during term time and holidays. This includes public swim, Fun Splash and Inflatable sessions.
Spanhoe Lodge near Laxton has a heated outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi hot tub available to guests and non-residents. The pool is open between April and October and the hot tub is available all year round. Their Cafe (which enjoys beautiful views) is open Monday to Saturday 10am-3pm (subject to change, please call before making a special journey) 01780 450328 [email protected] . Spanhoe Lodge also has 8 large guest rooms, and meeting room facilities.
Nearby leisure centres include Stamford Leisure Pool, Corby International Pool, Market Harborough Leisure Centre, Waterfield Leisure in Melton Mowbray, Grantham Meres Leisure Centre.
Pools for members and/or onsite guests;
Rutland Hall Hotel (members or hotel guests only) the leisure club is open 7am-8pm Monday to Friday and 8am-8pm Saturday & Sunday. Pre booking is required for use of our swimming pool, gym and for all classes. Members can book online here. Inspire2Tri offers Open water swimming sessions at Rutland Water every Sunday from May, and their ‘endless pool swimming’ in the resistance pool at Manton, plus they can provide swim coaching plans.
Greendale Farm Caravan & Camping Park this small adult only tranquil camp site enjoys a small heated outdoor pool with sun loungers, open whenever possible in high-season.
New Lodge Farm Swim Spa members and guests can book one hour sessions for one to four occupants of age 18+. A swim spa is a hybrid of a swimming pool and hot tub, with the option of powerful swim jets that create a current to swim into at a continuous pace.
Rutland Caravan, Camping & Luxury Lodges has a 11 x 6 meter heated indoor swimming pool available for guests which must be booked a week in advance. Half hour free swim per stay and additional half hour private hire rate of £16. The lodges also have their own private hot tubs.
Woolfox Luxury Lifestyle Members Club with 20-meter indoor swimming pool and a poolside sauna and relaxation room. Also with gym facilities, studio and golf course.
Other Swimming opportunities
There is a swimming pool at Edith Weston Academy which is available to hire at £35 per hour which includes an aquatic lifesaver.
SwimRutland provide open water swim events in Rutland Water, with distances from 500m to 8km – they even have NightSwim events to swim under the stars
