Nestled in the beautiful rural landscape of Rutland,  RRR is an adult-only, super dog friendly, secluded and private glamping retreat, set within 4 acres of beautiful old meadow land, bordered by an array of hedgerows, trees and brooks. These Rural Retreats, of which there are only 3, have been designed for you to truly escape from everyday life and enjoy a little peace and tranquility in todays hectic world!

With a choice of either glamourous glamping pod or stunning Shepherds Hut; all 3 are equipped with everything you could need to enjoy your stay, together with their own secure gardens for peace of mind when bringing canine companions.  All are set a good distance apart with trees, shrubs and meadows grasses to add to that sense of privacy and seclusion.

Immersing yourself in nature does not mean you have to leave the creature comforts behind. All 3 units have fully equipped kitchenettes, living and dining spaces with luxury leather sofas and en-suites with flushing toilets, electric showers and heated towels rails. In the kitchenettes you will find either combi microwaves ovens or cookers together with electric hobs and fridges with freezer compartments.

Outside, the secure gardens provide the opportunity to dine under the stars whilst enjoying a glass of something chilled as you listen to the crackle of the firepit or watch your canine companion enjoying exploring the garden. On chillier days guests can relax and dine inside the heated pods or take advantage of the numerous pubs and restaurants that the locality has to offer.

RRR has gained a well earned reputation since opening in 2022 as being super dog friendly so you won’t be surprised to hear that all 3 units have their own, 1m stock fenced secure gardens; welcome gifts for your pooches, doggy throws, mats, toys, mitts and food/water bowls. Woodpecker is the furthest of the 3 units and reviews often comment how ideal it is for reactive dogs especially.

Belton in Rutland is a beautiful small village on the border with the East Leicestershire countryside. From here you can explore miles of footpaths (the Rutland Round passes through the village) bridleways and cycle routes. The nearby areas boast some amazing quaint market towns such as Uppingham (4m), Oakham (9m) and Stamford. All have a wealth of dog friendly pubs and restaurants. If you are feeling a little more active, the famous “Rutland Water” is just a 15 minute drive away as are the beautiful ancient woods of Launde, Wakerley and Fineshade. So much to do and see within a short walk or drive.

RRR is situated in a private 4 acre meadow adjoining Brook Farm which is a small enterprise that supports the welfare of horses and other animals, including our extremely friendly Swiss Valais petting sheep.  You may see some of these other residents as you drive into the car park or on the short stroll from the car park to the glamping retreat.
